Francisco Beacon is managed by community based organization, Tel-Hi and offers an array of services to support youth and their families in achieving their greatest potential. We work closely with school staff to ensure that youth and their families have the resources and encouragement needed to thrive and learn for a lifetime. We are dedicated to empowering our youth, their families and school community.
Lorraine Orlandi joined the Telegraph Hill Neighborhood Center in July 2018 to become the director of Beacon programs at Francisco Middle School. In 2018 the San Francisco Recreation and Parks Department awarded her a “Keeping the Dream Alive Award” for her work building after-school partnerships at Revere.
She previously worked for two decades as a journalist, spending 14 years covering human rights abuses, political crises and natural disasters in Mexico, Nicaragua and Guatemala.
