My name is Tiana Kaulave and I work for the YMCA as a Beacon Director for Charles Drew Elementary. After working in youth development for about 15 years, I decided to join SF Beacon Initiative in 2019. My students and families, both former and current, have inspired me to work in the community as an advocate to provide more resources and better opportunities for our youth. One of my goals for this year is to take care of my health and maintain a hopeful outlook on life. Fun fact about me, I love planning events and parties for people b/c I get to be creative and learn new things about what other people are interested in. The best part about planning, is watching people enjoy themselves after the plan is executed. I love seeing people have fun and spend time with their loved ones.
